Obstetric Hemorrhage: Postpartum Patient

Description This course covers the types, causes (including disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) ) , and early or late timing of postpartum hemorrhage. It discusses risk factors, assessment findings, and treatments, including appropriate medications. The course presents nursing interventions related to early and late postpartum hemorrhage as well as hemorrhage related to DIC. It also addresses discharge teaching. Continuing Education Credit This course qualifies for 0.9 contact hours, which can be earned on this course until June 4, 2016.
